Bob Bryan Gears Up to Steer U.S. Davis Cup Team Forward

From September 10-15, Captain Bob Bryan will lead Team USA in the Davis Cup Finals Group Stage in Zhuhai, China.

Team USA will field a team of standout players including Sebastian Korda, Marcos Giron, Brandon Nakashima, Rajeev Ram, and Austin Krajicek.

The Group Stage includes 16 teams competing at four venues in a round robin format with the top eight moving to the Final 8 to be played in Malaga, Spain from November 19-24.

Team USA is ranked 9th and has been placed in Group C, which promises tough competition including four-time Davis Cup champions Germany, as well as Slovakia and Chile.

Team USA boasts a storied history in the Davis Cup, having participated since the inaugural event in 1900, when a group of Harvard students challenged the British. The United States holds the record as the most successful nation in Davis Cup history with 32 championships, closely followed by Australia with 28 titles.

The Davis Cup Qualifiers were held on a home-and-away basis with 24 nations competing. The 12 victorious nations Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Czechia, Finland, France, Germany, Netherlands, Slovakia, and the United States join the 2023 finalists, Australia and Italy, along with wild cards Great Britain and Spain, in the 16-nation Davis Cup Finals Group Stage.
