Bryan Brothers Can't Be Stopped In Retirement

Bryan Brothers Can't Be Stopped In Retirement

When the Bryan Brothers announced their retirement in August 2020, fans thought their dominant reign in doubles would come to an end. However, Bob and Mike said "Not so fast!"

When they declared the end of their career on the worldwide professional tour, Bob and Mike took it upon themselves to maintain their Grand Slam doubles dominance in retirement. After taking home two consecutive Wimbledon Gentlemen's Invitation Doubles titles in 2022 and 2023, the Bryan Bros. have now completed the "three-peat".

Bob and Mike have yet again emerged as indisputable champions. Finishing 3-0 in the Group B Round Robin, the Bros. defeated highly regarded duos Marcos Baghdatis and Xavier Malisse, Jeremy Chardy and Feliciano Lopez, and James Blake, and Bruno Soares. When they reached the final without dropping a set, the feat appeared inevitable.

Facing Lleyton Hewitt and Kevin Anderson with Hewitt seeking redemption after losing to the Bryans in the 2022 finals, Bob and Mike came in doing what they so famously have done for decades by dominating the first set 6-1. With a more competitive second set, the Bryans took home the trophy again 6-1, 6-4, once again reinforcing their reputation in the world of doubles.
